A face is a liability on a mountain and in a frame. The Shroud was built so a person could remove their face from both at once. One cord, one motion, and the wearer is weather and nothing else.
It packs to nothing and deploys faster than a decision. We consider it the most honest garment we keep. It does the one thing the whole archive is about.
